Join Uncle Ducky Outfitters on fun filled rafting tours in the Beautiful Upper Peninsula of Michigan. Whether you like whitewater excitement, river eco-excursions, wildlife and birdwatching, or a lazy family afternoon drift trip, the rivers of the Upper Peninsula of Michigan offer many fine opportunities. Based in Marquette, we offer our guided raft trips on the Michigamme River, the Escanaba River, the Ontaganon River and the Au Train River. Our raft trips may either be guided by experienced river guides or you may rent a raft from us if you have some experience rafting.

Whitewater rafting is done primarly at the on the Michigamme and Ontaganon Rivers in the months of May and June. The Escanaba River flowing south from Gwinn, Michigan is great for wildlife, birdwatching, and river bank fauna. The Ontaganon River also has some great rapids and Canadian Shield type rock formations and canyons that make for an exciting experience. The Au Train river offers a lazy afternoon type rafting environment the also has great wildlife and birdwatching and its an excellent trip for seniors or families with small children . Seniors and families would also feel very at ease on the Escanaba River. Most rapids in the Upper Peninsula and on these rivers are of the class I-II difficulity scale which are handled very well in a rubber raft. In the early spring some of them can develop into a Class III difficulty when flooding conditions are present but we have gauges to monitior the river flow and know ahead of time what conditions to expect.
